Shirdi Sai Baba Live Darshan

Shirdi is a small town in the Ahmednagar district of the Indian state of Maharashtra and is located within 250 km of larger cities of Mumbai and Pune. It was the place where the famous saint Sai Baba of Shirdi lived till his last day in 1918. Today, it serves as major pilgrimage center where millions of his devotees come to pay their respects from all over the world every year. Months of January to March are the best months of the year to visit Shirdi Temple for the Shirdi Darshan. April till June is summer which is followed by the monsoon in July. Peak pilgrim arrival time is between the months of September and November when many festivals occur in the country.

For those who are thinking How to Reach Shirdi and get the Shirdi Sai Baba Live Darshan, there are many buses connecting Shirdi to cities such as Mumbai, Nashik, Hyderabad, and Pune. The roads between Mumbai and Shirdi are in good condition and it is an overnight journey of about 7 hours. Shirdi Baba is accessible through the Ahmednagar- Manmad State Highway No.10. Trains from all over India come around the area of Shirdi. But since Shirdi Railway Station is not operational and is under construction, one can take trains till Shirdi Sai Nagar which is just 2 Km from the Shirdi Temple, or till Kopargaon which is around 15 Km from Shirdi, Manmad which is 65 Km from Shirdi Sai Sansthan. Upon getting down at Kopargaon or Manmad, you can opt for a taxi till Shirdi or a shared van.

Shirdi does not have its own airport and nearest airports are located at Mumbai, Nasik, and Pune. Shirdi Tour is not a big town and almost all the main attractions are within walking distances from the Sai Baba Shirdi Temple. The main attractions of Shirdi are: main Shirdi Temple where Sai Baba of Shirdi’ Samadhi is located, Chavadi where Baba used to sleep, and the former residence of Sai Baba called Dwarakamayi and are situated close to each other. The temple opens at around 4 A.M. and closes at about 10 P.M. Mobile phones and cameras are not allowed within the temple premises. Khandoba Raya temple is the temple where Mahalsapati first welcomed Sai Baba. There are numerous shops selling souvenirs of Sai Baba. Restaurants in Shirdi have a variety of cuisines and serve only vegetarian food and alcohol is s not permitted in the town.
