MOUNT ABU TEMPLES
Bronze nandi: Achalgarh
is famous for its glorious and famous Shiva Temple

Dilwara Temple:
The celebrated and world famous jain temples,
which have excellent specimens of sculptors art,
are situated at dilwara (Devalwara a place of
temples) a village about 2 and ½ Kms from
the city post office. These delicately carved
exquisite temples in marble are very old of 11th
and 12th centuries and have rightly been called
a dream in marble on account of their unbelievable
perfection of architect and fine designs.

Nandi Bull: It
is said to be the oldest temple in abu and built
in 813 A.D. the shrine of achleswar is the tutelage
divinity of abu. Unlike other shiva temples, there
is no image of shiva here but instead a cavity
of hole. No one is allowed to put his hand in
the ground as it is believed that there is the
mark of toe of lord Shiva hence its, also called
the toe of temple.
Jain temple: Achalgarh

Arbudha Devi (Adhar Devi):
the main temple of arbudha devi is situated on
hill, 2 kms. North from the city at the height
of 4,200 feet situated under a big rock. One has
to bend and go through a road way to reach there.
It also has many stairs. Arbudha devi has been
made without any support (adhar), hence, it is
also known as adhar devi. This temple is considered
as one of the ancient holy place. Vyas muni, a
saint has mentioned about this temple in his holy
book, skand puran. There are may other enduring
statues in the cave
Amba Devi Temple:
the seat of durga (called as abawani, bhagwati
or jagdamba) is Ambaji, situated 52 kms, away
from mount abu and 23 Kms from abu road railway
station. The temple of ambaji is in square layout.
Encircle by strong, walls and with glsdd mosaic
work. The life Size idols of goddess Ambaji is
seated with one leg fooled up on her carrier lion.
The temple is very ancient and beautiful and as
lod as the 7th century. A monthly fair is held
on every full moonday here besides a large one
which is held in navratri.
