GOA BEACHES
CALANGUTE
BEACH - 16 kms from panaji. This
is the most popular holiday resort in goa and
known as 'The Queen of Beaches'. Excellent accommodation
facilities are available, particularly at the
tourist resort and cottages. Calangute lie on
the shores of the Arabian Sea of North Goa in
India. It is encircled by Arpora-Nogoa, Saligao
and Candolim, in the Bardez taluka.
ANJUNA BEACH
- Here Holidays & beat hows draw hundred of
people at a distance of 18 kms is this sandy beach,
more popular during the seventies and eighties
as the hang out of the flower children in their
various states of undress.
MIRAMAR BEACH
- A lovely golden beach of soft sand along the
blue Arabian Sea, from here one can catch a glimpse
of the 17th century Fort Aguada built by the Portuguese
& the powerful beam of the light house sweeping
across the sea, girdled by palm trees, only 2
Kms from Panjim City.
VAGATOR BEACH
- A beach famous for its seclusion with the Chapora
Fort as its imposing backdrop.
ARAMBOL BEACH
- At a distance of 30 Kms from Panjim, this is
a unique beach in the north goa, bit rocky and
sandy but much sought after for its uncluttered
solitude.
COLVA BEACH
- Longest beach in Goa, with soft sand, located
in South Goa, 6 Kms from Madgaon, this beach is
the pride of the state and second only to Calangute
in popularity. Very good accommodation and restaurants.
PALOLEM BEACH
- At the southernmost tip of the state lies this
serene & enchanting beach with the backdrop
of the Western Ghats.
